Neck and back exercises for AxSpa with Emily Clarke
Physiotherapist Emily Clarke (NASS Bath branch) demonstrates neck and back exercises for people living with axial spondyloarthritis.
What I like about these is that they can be done sitting down. Good for lazy and low-energy days, but still leaving me feeling less hunched and more flexible. A set of exercises for all AxSpa sufferers, I think.
@mybigfatarse.com funnily enough I already do most of these either through my own attempts at stretching or by copying you in the way way back, back when I was but a wee little whipper snapper.
The sideways stretching, however, is quite novel to the somewhat subpar pile of neurons currently doing their best to at least seem alive.

I’ve yet to understand how the sideways ones help but they feel good to do too. It’s the twists and head/neeck ones that I see the most direct benefit from.
